One main reason to attend the conference
At one point, as David Crowder sang “Foreverandever etc. . . ”, the crowd all moved together with arms around each other and jumped up and down at once!
How many kids can you stuff in a conference room?
At the beginning of the session, we used a game to get the teens engaged. We put two cell phone numbers up at the front of the room and had the kids all put into their cell phones, one of which was mine. I was happy to play with them and felt that this game was right up my alley, a place where I felt engaged and comfortable, too.
My first prayer session
It has taken longer than I thought to process my emotions and reactions to the conference, so I’m glad I had 5 extra days in Hawaii to do that. I’m still trying to figure out what I make of it all.
Getting to know our team leader
Christy is SUCH a tease! First thing when I sit down at the table, she pushes right at my buttons, saying, “So, I’ve teamed you up with me.” Of course I overreact, and point right back at her and tell her, “Oh no you don’t!”
